      <title>New Jersey Marathon</title>
      <link>http://chrisdeitrick.immensepots.com/2008/08/29/new-jersey-marathon.html</link>
<description>I surprised myself today. I wasn&#8217;t sure how I was going to hold up having jog Boston only 13 days ago, but with some perfect weather, 50, overcast as well as a little wind, as well as a well jog race, I managed to complete in 2:56. This was good on behalf of 14 place overall as well as 1st in my aging age group. The marathon was a two loop course with the first half operational with the half marathoners. So I had a good group of runners with me. I hit a bad patch early on, around 12 mile mark&#8211;everything hurt especially my Achilles as well as calf muscles&#8211;and I thought I was in on behalf of a long second half. But, it cleared up by 14 miles as well as I managed to maintain an even pace (in fact my second half was faster, negative splits) as well as finished strong. Nice trophy on behalf of 35-39 division. 2 down, 11 to go. I now have a six week &#8220;break&#8221; before Grandma&#8217;s in Duluth. I should be able to get in a solid recovery as well as start a long training cycle on behalf of Philadelphia in the fall.
To infinity as well as beyond!
